Hello! This is the first of a re-vamped Micro Msuic newsletter. If you are receiveing this it is becasue you either subscribed via substack or at a Micro Music live event pre-pandemic. I very much hope you will stay with me for this newsletter but times change and if you want to unsubscribe then please feel free to do so.
1. Why this, why now?
Unfortuantely I’ve decided to stop doing the live shows for a number of reasons. I absolutely loved doing them and we had some amazing nights of music in some wonderful places. One day maybe they will come back…
So no more live shows, but Micro Music is still:
This newsletter and the blog on the website. The two will merge and be a lot more regular.
The radio show. Every Wednesday 7 to 9pm on Voice FM. 103.9FM if you are in Southampton. voicefmradio.co.uk for everyone else. There is a catch up page if you want to hear previous shows. Go to the cacth-up page and search for “micro” and I will appear!
The podcast. This has been a bit queit as well. No new episodes since April. But there are plans…
Spotify playlist. This playlist has some of my favourite songs from the radio show so far this year.
2. What will this newsletter cover?
New releases you need to hear. Album reviews. Gig reviews. Artist and band recommendations. Independent music news. Anything else relevant to great music.
